The piece was made by Bauscher in 1930, the year before the restaurant closed, a victim of Prohibition, the Depression, and changing tastes. It is in mint condition. The Arts and Crafts-style logo mimicked the interior design of one of the restaurant's dining rooms, the Whist Room.
