We might like the weird and wacky here at Rapido but we also take pleasure in tackling more mainstream prototypes, especially when there’s a gap in the market for a ‘Rapido-standard’ model! They were inspired by the LMS’ and Southern’s pioneer diesel designs and were outwardly similar to English Electric’s Type 4 (subsequently Class 40).
