For sale is an employee's kerosene lantern from the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad (Rock Island). It was made by Adlake. The Rock Island logo and words "Rock Island" are on the top. The lantern at one time was painted black, and this paint is now peeling off. The lantern stands appx 9 inches tall (not including the handle) and 4 inches wide at the base. It has a red unmarked globe but no fuel pot. The lantern is structurally in good condition, but it need cleanup; the paint should be fully removed, and there are some rust marks and pitting to address. It should clean up to be a nice collectible. Discounted price, for I am cleaning house.
