Underground Ticketing System (UTS) m achines were supplied by Westinghouse Cubic from late 1987; cards around credit card size carry magnetic strip and a print order code on the reverse. TfL still uses UTS in modified form and hugely reduced quantities, as detailed in Wikipedia.
