A 4mm scale resin loco body kit to build an example of the Maunsell designed diesel shunter. The prototypes were built at Ashford works in 1937, then sent to English Electric to have the Diesel engines & other equipment fitted. They were numbered 1, 2, & 3 in a separate series under Southern ownership, & during WW2 they were employed by the military for moving huge cross-channel guns from cover into firing positions to bombard france.The kit is cast in a good quality polyurethane resin with whitemetal front steps, & is designed to fit the Bachmann '08' chassis with a little modification. I've heard of these being fitted to the Hornby '08', but have no idea what's involved.
