Seen here `Jubilee' class 4-6-0 No 45697 Achilles leaves Skipton in September 1966 with a lengthy van train. The platforms on the right-hand side were used by the Yorkshire Dales line trains to Ilkley via Embsay which left at this point and crossed the main line by a bridge south of the station.
