The product is a rare American Combined Level-patented by Edward Helb. It is often mistakenly called a railroad level but it was actually used in any construction requiring accurate grade. It was patented in 1904 and the patent drawing is in the pictures. This level has a compass and what Mr. Helb called an inclinometer. The glass covering the inclinometer is missing but it still works. This would make a great addition to any collector of vintage precision construction tools.
