Seen here in this magnificent print a 'Grange' and a 'Modified Hall', Nos 6855 Saighton Grange and 6988 Swithland Hall, pass Stonecombe sidings on the down `Cornish Riviera'. The quarry at Stonecombe supplied ballast for permanent way work on the Great Western and was protected by a rather austere signalbox.
