Triang Hornby R251 locomotive and tender for 2 rail operation which has been in storage for many years and has recently come into my possession and is surplus to my requirements. Do not know too much about this item except that it was not in working order and shorting out. I have serviced the motor etc and found it was shorting out on the insulated side of the scale wheels so remedied that with washers between crankpins and edge of insulated scale wheels.It now runs perfectly. The body has one rear foot step missing apart from which it is in very good order. The tender would have had very coarse wheels which look to have been replaced with a finer version and now negotiates Hornby track and points well.Couplings have been replaced
