Made by Armspear Manufacturing Company with patent dates from 1886 to 1889. Lantern is in excellent condition--super clean---Very nicely embossed B & M R. R. on the lantern lid for the Boston & Maine Railroad. This lantern comes with the twist off drop bottom fount with original Armspear burner w/wick in excellent operating condition. Also comes with what could be the original Corning globe with cast letters B. & M. R.R. on a rectangular slug plate. Globe shows age with an amber hew. Globe is in good condition with no major chips or cracks, but does have some scuff marks and edge roughness from use. Please see all photos for best description.
