The directly pluggable train control relay expands the control modules cat. no. 5224, 5227 and 5229 for automatic train control, but can also be used separately. This allows the control modules to stop the trains automatically. This can either be done by switching off the traction current (separately for track and catenary) or in digital operation, even more prototypically, by switching to the brake module cat. no. 5232 (for Märklin-Motorola) or a brake generator (for NMRA-DCC). The train control relay has a two-pole changeover switch for this purpose.
