Vintage Southern Railway System Book of Operating Rules, effective April 1, 1943. This historical railroad manual features detailed instructions for train operations, including engine whistle signals, communicating signals, and semaphore indications with color illustrations. The interior includes a property of Southern Railway Company plate assigned to C.A. Boles, Signalman (No. SDW-97). A fascinating piece of Americana for railfans and collectors of transportation history. The cover is faded but the inside of the book is in good shape. It has "corrections" in the manual that were made by pasting new paper over the original page in the book. It's a very neat old manual! Measurements: • Height: 6.75" • Width: 4.25"
