It is made of brass. It shows evidence of use, but the chain shackle is intact and the spring loaded keyway cover, although a little sticky, still works. The lock has the "ADAM & WESTLAKE CO. CHICAGO PHILA U.S.A." LOGO stamped on the lock shackle.
