This plate was made by the Nippon Dining Car Company for the Transportation Military Railway Service 8010Th Army Unit or “TMRS” during the US occupation of Japan after WWII. The train was only used by the US army personnel and their families. I was able to print a menu and part of a travel guide that was used by the passengers. I will include such materials with the plate. The plate looks like new. I don’t see any cracks, chips or crazing marks. The plate features “Mount Fuji” and it’s hand painted. This plate was an important piece in a great collection and was kept in a safe place for many years.
