Vintage railroad track adze head, C.P.R., Canadian Pacific or Central Pacific

£71.25

Here is an old tool lying around on my farm. It's the business end of a track adze. On our cranberry farm we use railroad track and when I was young we used cedar trees for the ties - until they came out with treated 4x6's. I think it was this that flattened them out where we put the rails. Anyhow it has a C.P.R. mark for which railroad it came from, and where we are at it could be either the Canadian Pacific Railway for the Central Pacific Railroad from whence it came. The blade end is about 4.5 inches across, the thing is about 9 3/8 inches in length. Much chipping wear on the sharper edge there, plus corrosion. We will pay for shipping on this into the United States. If you are international, you'll have to pay for it, sorry.
