For auction is a rare brochure entitled "Northern Pacific Alaska Vacations -- All Steamer Sailings". It is dated Summer 1953. The NP provided passenger rail service to Seattle from various points in the upper Northwestern US, aboard its crack passenger train the "Streamlined North Coast Limited", which operated between Chicago, Minneapolis/St Paul, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Seattle, At Seattle, passengers connected to coastal steamship services to Seward, Alaska, with stops at Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, and other ports. The brochure contains tour destination points, ship information, fares and cruising schedules.
