1954 NYC New York Central Railroad - Magic Windows Water Level route

£12.62

The NYC promoted heavily its "Water Level Route", which ran along the Great Lakes between Buffalo and Toledo, along with the sights provided on this routing. For auction is a brochure, dated 1954, entitled "Magic Windows, Story of your trip on the Water-Level Route". The brochure is unusual in that it is really a mailer - a part is an envelope-type page where one could mail the brochure to friends or family. Inside is a long strip map of the entire route between New York City and Chicago. Each city and town, and significant en-route attractions, are described, with the mileage from New York City. There is also a schematic diagram of the NYC system.

This product would be best fit for railroad enthusiasts and collectors interested in historical railway routes.
