An original LNER series Carriage Print issued in the late 1940s/ early 1950s for display in railway carriages. The print survived from the railway stores in the late 1960s and is NOT a reproduction. River Wharfe NEAR Ilkley, Yorkshire by Gyrth Russell R.I., S.M.A. Russell’s view of the Wharfe has proved challenging to pin down. The view requires a stretch of river with a substantial multi-arch bridge and no roads on either bank “near Ilkley”.
