Photograph Notes: The original station for Church Stretton, built in 1852 to a design by T.M. Penson for the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway. It was replaced by the present station in 1914. Ironically, all of the elegant 1914 buildings on the new station were razed to the ground in the 1970s, leaving bus shelters on bare platforms.
