The Norfolk & Western Railway Company (N&W) was a major regional railroad serving the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-western areas of the US. Formed in 1838, The N&W served the area from Norfolk, Virginia westward to Kansas City and Omaha, including the major cities of Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. For auction is rule book from the N&W. Entitled "Agreement between Norfolk & Western Railway Company and Signal Employees Classified Herein", it contains the rules agreed to between the railroad and this union for its signalmen.
